A month ago my son woke up one morning saying both ears were blocked. My response was, maybe water went in when he was showering. I didn’t really think anything of it. A few days later, it started causing him pain. We prayed and I used clove oil thinking it was just dry wax blocking the ears; It didn’t help much. Fast forward, we ended up calling 111- he now had a temperature and was unable to sleep at night or settle. 111 asked me to bring him in, I said no, not when all this is happening. So I prayed and told them I would call my GP . The GPs were not seeing patients. The GP prescribed antibiotics, paracetamol and said to continue using the Clove oil, which we did. We completed the antibiotics but the pain got severe. I prayed, asking God why the antibiotic is not working and was a bit worried, as a parent would be. I called the GP again, & explained that the medication was not working. By then, every hour we had to put frozen peas on my son’s ears to ease the pain. Again, the GP prescribed a second dose of antibiotics. If that didn’t work, they would make a referral. I again prayed “Lord please do something” and didn’t stop praying and worshipping. The 2nd dose of antibiotics didn’t work, I called the GP, and she made a referral that same day to be seen privately. As we were getting ready to go for the appointment sis Flori called just checking up on me. I explained what was happening, at this point I was anxious, crying, feeling so helpless seeing my son in so much pain. God is so mindful of us, at my weakest He sent sis Flori to call and pray for my son and this is just how the pain eased instantly after the prayer. My son could not believe what had happened, all he could say was mum the pain is gone! Glory, God is so good. By the time we went for the appointment the GP we saw was God sent too. He told us we had been given the wrong antibiotic; hence why it wasn’t working and that he was not meant to see us but just reading the notes he asked us to come. If you saw the fluid that came out of my son’s ears, hmmm… It can only be God. The nurse was an angel, she told us to use this antibiotic given now and never stop praying. This is someone we have never met, didn’t know our history. My son and I looked at each other and said “what did she just say? wow”. We are so grateful to God for healing, full restoration and showing us how much He loves us. In the midst of it all, He remains God. This is our testimony to encourage you all to never stop praying no matter what. He is ever so mindful of us. Glory.
